Plaosan Temple Heritage In Klaten

Location And Access To Plaosan Temple

Plaosan Lor Temple

Plaosan Lor Temple is a vast temple complex. In the Centre of the Plaosan Kidul Temple complex there are both two story building, which is the main temple. Both the building overlooking to the west and each is surrounded by a stone fence. Stone walls lining each of the main temple is surrounded by Perwara Temple which was originally numbered 174, consisting of 58 smaller temples in the base shape and  116 square base stupa-shaped buildings. Seven temples line up on each side of the north and south of the main temple, 19 temples marching east or back of both the main temple, while 17 temples again lined up in front of both of the main temple. Almost all of the Perwara Temple is currently in a state of ruins.
In every corner of the rows of Perwara Temple still contained a small again surrounded by two rows of terrace which is also interspersed with a small temple at each of its corners.
On the west side of the stone fences that surround each of the main building there is a gateway of Paduraksa Gate, with a roof that is decorated with a row of small crown. In the second part of the main building is divided into six rooms, three rooms located on the bottom, while the other three rooms located on the second level.
